We use what you send us to answer you and prepare an estimate. We do not sell it, we do not share it with anyone for advertising, and we do not send you a newsletter or any mail you did not ask for.
Who is responsible for your information
Delta Website Design, a sole proprietorship registered in British Columbia and owned by Mladen Mladenovic, 5510 Admiral Way, Delta, BC V4K 0C3. For anything about your personal information, write to hello@deltawebsitedesign.com.
What we collect
- From the forms on this site: your name, your email address and what you write to us, and anything else you choose to fill in, such as your phone number, your business name and details about the site you need.
- From email and phone calls: what you write or tell us.
- From your visit: your IP address, your device and browser, the pages you open and how you move through them, such as clicks and scrolling. These are recorded by our server, the site’s security software and the measurement tools described below.
We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health details or identity numbers. Please do not enter it in a form.
Why we use it
We use what you send us to answer your request and prepare an estimate, which is why you sent it. If you become a client, we use it to do the work we agreed on and to keep the business records the Canada Revenue Agency requires.
We use visit data to see which pages are read and where visitors get stuck, and to keep the site secure. You can refuse the measurement cookies in your browser, as described below, and the site works without them.
Who else sees it
Only the companies that provide us with technical services, and only as much as that service needs:
- Web Hosting Canada, the Canadian company whose servers run this site and our email
- Google, for Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, which measure visits, and for the map on the Contact page
- Microsoft, for Microsoft Clarity, which shows how the site is used: where people click, how far they read and where they get stuck
Google and Microsoft may process this information outside Canada, including in the United States, under their own privacy terms, where it may be accessible to authorities under the laws of that country.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and one named _ga_ followed by our measurement ID, to count visits and tell a new visitor from a returning one. Each lasts two years.
Microsoft Clarity sets _clck, which recognises a returning visitor, and _clsk, which joins the pages of one visit together. Clarity masks whatever you type into the fields of a form.
These cookies do not tell us who you are. The map on the Contact page may set Google’s own cookies when it loads. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that turns off Google Analytics on every site. The site works without them.
How long we keep it
An enquiry that does not lead to work is kept for 12 months from our last contact, then deleted. Client information is kept for as long as we work together, and contracts and invoices for six years from the end of the tax year they relate to, as the Canada Revenue Agency requires.
Google Analytics keeps visit data for 14 months. Microsoft Clarity keeps recordings of visits for 30 days and the combined click and heatmap data for nine months.
Your rights
At any time you can ask us:
- to see the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
- to correct information that is wrong
- to delete it, unless a law requires us to keep it
- to stop using it for a purpose you no longer agree to
An email to hello@deltawebsitedesign.com is enough. We reply within 30 days, usually much sooner. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, for example by adding a new measurement tool, this page changes first. This version takes effect on September 25, 2026.
